Introduction
Karst Media Group LLC is a live music recording and content production company based in Sacramento, California. We record and stage live performance across three formats, each built around the same standard: what you hear is what happened in the room.
The name comes from karst topography, the landscape formed when water dissolves limestone over long stretches of time, leaving behind caves, springs, and formations that look permanent because they are. We chose it because it describes the kind of company we want to be. Not fast. Not trend-driven. Built by patient, repeated work until the shape holds.

Every format follows one rule: no backing tracks, no overdubs. If an artist can't play it live, it doesn't go in the session.
Why Sacramento?
Sacramento has a live music scene that outgrows its stages faster than most cities its size. We're building the infrastructure this city's musicians have been missing: a place to be recorded properly, without traveling to the Bay or LA to do it.

Why restraint
We look to institutions that never needed to raise their voice, the recording rooms and live series that let the performance carry the weight instead of the production around it. We believe restraint reads as quality. A session doesn't need effects to be memorable. It needs a good room, a good mic, and an artist who can actually play.
